The owner of a business on the Derry-Donegal border has made an urgent appeal for help after her premises were raided.
Jennifer McLaughlin, who runs the Beauty House salon in Bridgend, just several hundred yards across the border on the main Derry to Buncrana Road, says £5,000 worth of equipment was taken in the raid.
She made the appeal to warn people that the thieves – believed to be from the Derry area – may try to sell the equipment online.
She said wanted to warn other business owners that a criminal gang was once again operating in the area.
“I have had my micro pigmentation machine and equipment required to do these treatments stolen,” said Jennifer.
“I have worked very hard to buy this machine and it is essential to my business. This machine is usless to most but to me it is my career.
“I can not carry out treatments without it. Can everyone please share this story and keep an eye out on any buy and sell sites.
“Or if anyone has approached you trying to sell it please let me know. I am completely devastated and disgusted that someone can just take the tools I require to do my job and make a living. Please please share and keep an eye out. There are very few machines of this brand around.”
