Motorsport takes centre stage in Derry today with the staging of the annual Lark in the Park.
Organised by the Maiden City Motor Club (MCMC) the event will give motorsport enthusiasts a chance to enjoy an action-packed day of rally cars in action and on display as well.
Based in St. Columb’s Park and Ebrington Square from 12.oo noon, it brings rally action to all, from far and wide, and the opportunity for the public to see rally cars both on display and in action.
Along with all the motorsport action, the Maiden City Club will host family attractions for all to enjoy, views some excellent static classic car displays and watch some world record attempts taking place in Ebrington Square.
As well as the Derry stages, three an additional road stage will take place in Donegal, beginning at 10.00am.
Declan McCay of Maiden City Club said: “The event is also open to the public so please come along and experience a right ‘Lark in the Park’ and all that motorsport has to offer – you’ll never have seen the like of it.”
