Police and health authorities are carrying a joint investigation into how a severely disabled woman sustained a number of injuries while staying in a Derry residential care home.
The family of Vivienne Peoples (40), who suffers from cerebral palsy and complex epilepsy, say they do not know how she sustained the injuries, which included bruising, cuts and fractures, which they claim occurred in 2011 while she was staying at Belmont Cottages on Racecourse Road.
Vivienne, who has the mind of a four-year-old child, has since been moved from the Western Health and Social Care residential home, and her family claim they are still waiting for an explanation to how the injuries were sustained.
Apex, the housing association which runs Belmont Cottages, said it had provided responses to queries and would continue to do so.
The Western Health Trust said it was unable to comment due to patient confidentially.
