The UKIP (United Kingdom Independence Party) is contest an election in Derry for the first time.
The party has selected three candidates for the 22 May local government election to the new Derry-Strabane “super council.”
The three are Geoff Cruickshank, who will seek election in the Faughan district election area, and Dave Malcolm and Kyle Thompson who will stand in the Waterside.
All three said they were relishing the opportunity to provide the electorate with “common sense policies on a full range of domestic issues.”
