A three year-old-boy is undergoing treatment in the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast after being run over by a car in the Ballymagroarty area of Derry yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the Farland Way area at around 3.45pm.
The toddler was initially taken by ambulance to Altnagelvin Hospital but later transferred to the Royal for specialised treatment to injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information to contact police on the non-emergency 101 number, quoting the reference number 742 29/04/14.
