The main Derry to Strabane road has re-opened following this morning’s car crash in which a teenager was critically injured.
He was one of three people injured when the car they travelling in, a blue Lexus IS200, went off the road at Victoria Road, Newbuildings at around 5.55am.
Two females in their 20s were also taken to hospital for treatment.
One of the women is described as being in a serious condition.
The road had been closed to allow police accident investigators to carry out an detailed examination of the scene.
They have now finished their examination have the road has reopened to traffic.
Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the accident or anyone who was travelling on the Victoria Road around the time of the collision to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Steeple Police Station or local police at Foyle on the new non-emergency number 101.
