One of two women injured in yesterday’s car crash on the main Derry to Strabane road has been transferred to the Royal Victoria Hospital for treatment.
A teenage boy was critically injured when the car they were travelling in, a blue Lexus IS200, went off the road at Victoria Road, Newbuildings at around 5.55am.
Two women were also taken to Altnagelvin Hospital from where one has since been transferred to the Belfast hospital for further treatment.
It is understood she sustained spinal and internal injuries as well as multiple fractures.
Police have appealed to anyone who witnessed the accident to contact them on the 101 non-emergency telephone number.
