Police in Derry are appealing for information about two burglaries carried out in daylight hours in the city this week.
A 22-carat gold engagement ring with a chalice shape and thick band as well as a while Apple iPhone were stolen during a break-in at a house in Gleneagles in the Culmore Road area during working hours yesterday.
Police believe the thieves used a pathway to the River Foyle that runs to the back of Gleneagles from the Culmore Road.
On Monday of this week,, a sum of money was stolen from a house at Stephen’s Court in the Ballymagroarty between 3.00pm and 8.00pm.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information to contact the CID at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency number or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
