Motorists intending to travel from Derry’s Waterside to cityside this weekend are advised the carriageway on the Foyle Bridge will be closed.
The closure is to facilitate a £350,000 road improvement works which began on Tuesday of this week.
A contra-flow system is currently in place but a full road closure of the carriageway from Caw to Culmore roadabouts will operate from 6.00am tomorrow to 8.00pm on Sunday.
Traffic travelling in the opposite direction (Culmore to Caw roundabouts) will not be affected.
A diversionary route will be signposted via Limavady Road, Craigavon Bridge, Strand Road and Culmore Road.
