Derry athlete Pius McIntyre put in an impressive performance to claim third place in the Ramelton 5k road race.
The Foyle Valley runner clocked 17 minutes 15 seconds to finish behind winner, Letterkenny AC’s Ivan Toner (16.05) and Pauric Breslin (17.10), also Letterkenny.
North West Triathlon Club’s Emma-Jo McConnellogue (21.31) won the ladies’ race ahead of runner-up, Milford AC’s Nuala O’Hagan (21.43).
Patricia McKenna, of Letterkenny AC, finished third in a time of 23.31.
A total of 104 runners competed in the race held over the streets of the Co Donegal town.
