Derry’s hurlers host holders Down and Derry in a must-win Christy Ring Cup game for both counties at Owenbeg this afternoon (throw in 2.30pm).
Both sides suffered opening defeats last weekend, Down losing 0-17 to 1-08 to Meath in Trim while an under-strength Derry were beaten by 32 points by Kerry in Tralee on a scoreline of 4-31 to 0-11.
Derry welcome back brothers Tiarnan and Oisin McCloskey who come in for Conor Quinn and Dermot O’Neill in the Oak Leaf side.
Ruairi Convery also starts after recovering from an injury which saw him forced off in In Tralee.
