Jason Cleere (20) spreadeagled the field in the Dunhugh Cup at City of Derry yesterday with a superbly compiled 46 points to take first place and a debut win having only joined the club earlier this year.
Birdies at the second, 11th and 13th were the highlights of his round with only one real blemish that resulted in a blank at the long 17th hole.
The handicapper will surely have noted this exceptional performance and reward Jason accordingly.
Early starter Eddie Porter (14), a winner at Easter, took second spot with 41 points, and having recorded two very good scores recently, lost an extra shot on the day and now has to manage off an 11 handicap.
Dan Hinds (4) overcame a disastrous triple bogey at the first to record 40 points, the best gross of the day and third nett overall.
Fourth nett, awarded because the best gross was in the first three home went, to Rob Jefferson (12) who had 37 points.
