A section of the main A5 Derry to Strabane road is to close for two weeks next month to facilitate a £265,000 resurfacing scheme.
Road works are due to start on 2 June from the Victoria Road/Woodend Road junction for a distance of one kilometre going north along the A5 Victoria Road to approximately 200 metres north of the Woodend fly over.
The scheme is expected to be substantially completed on Friday 27 June 2014.
The closure is planned for Monday, 9 June up to and including Sunday, 22 June.
Both northbound and southbound traffic will be diverted onto the B49 Woodend Road. Local access will be retained.
Announcing the start date, Transport Minister Danny Kennedy said the scheme would “greatly improve” the strength and surface quality of the carriageway.
Motorists are being advised to expect delays to allow additional time when planning journeys.
