Police in Derry are appealing for information about an assault on a man in the city centre at the weekend.
At about 1.00am on Sunday, the man and a friend were waiting for a taxi at Lower Clarnedon Street.
Two other men were waiting, and as a taxi pulled up, one of them punched the victim in the face.
The man sustained cuts to his head and mouth.
The alleged assailant was aged in his early 20s and had sandy hair that was shaved at the sides.
He was wearing a red baseball-type T-shirt, jeans and trainers.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information to contact police at Strand Road on the non-emergency 101 telephone number or telephone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
