One of Derry’s largest employers and three students from the North West Regional College have been named as finalists in the the Northern Ireland (NI) Vocational Qualifications (VQ) Learner of the Year and the VQ Employer of the Year Awards.
Ten students from across the North have been shortlisted for the Learner of the Year Award, three from the North West college.
Two are from the college’s Strand Road campus in Derry – William McDonald and Yvonne Curran.
The third, William Falconer, from Claudy, attends the college’s Greystone campus in Limavady.
Seagate Technology is one of four companies shortlisted for the NI VQ Employer of the Year Award.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony to be held in the Great Hall at Stormont on Wednesday, 4 June next.
