Limavady police have revealed they have been receiving “numerous calls” in relation to the flying of flags in the town.
A PSNI spokesperson said local Neighbourhood Police in partnership with the Limavady Council Good Relations officer were engaged in dialogue with community representatives and other relevant parties in respect of flags.
The spokesperson added: “We endeavour to develop a strategic and graduated response to the flags issue which involves consultation, shared understanding, negotiation and, if necessary, proportionate and legal use of enforcement methods.”
