Police in Derry are investigating a report that a cyclist was struck by a missile thrown from a passing car in the Waterside area of the city on Sunday afternoon.
The male cyclist was close to a local hotel on Prehen Road when he was struck on the lower leg.
A PSNI spokesperson said police at Strand Road were keen to learn more about the occupants of a car, a blue Volkswagen Jetta, that overtook him.
The spokesperson said Information could be given on the police non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, it can be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
