Final resurfacing works to the middle section of Lowry’s Lane in the Foyle Springs area of Derry is to be carried out by Derry City Council from tomorrow.
To facilitate these works, it is necessary to close this section of the pathway from early morning tomorrow to approximately lunchtime tomorrow.
A spokesperson for Derry City Council apologised for any inconvenience caused saying the temporary closure was essential for the health and safety of the public and to ensure the protection of the new surface whilst being laid.
Sections of Lowry’s Lane underwent improvement works totalling almost £200,000 at the end of last year.
The Department of Transport contributed£154,000 with additional funding of £25,000 provided by the City Council.
