The Bank of Ireland has opened a new branch in Derry.
The opening of the premises, located on the Culmore Road, is part of a £10 million investment by Bank of Ireland across the North.
The new premises features the latest retail design and customer service standard and has created four new posts including a full-time business advisor and mortgage advisor as well as a full suite of banking services for personal and business customers.
It also features the first exterior ATM to provide a withdrawal and deposit facility.
The opening of a new branch in Derry by the Bank of Ireland has been welcomed by Sinn Féin Councillor Mickey Cooper.
Cllr Cooper said with large number of jobs having lost in the banking sector over the past few years, the setting up of the new branch was a “a positive announcement.”
Joe Crowe, Head of Branches, Bank of Ireland UK, said new branch provided a state of the art banking environment for personal and business customers and was “ideally located” to support the growing number of small businesses in the area.
