History maker: Susan Spence.
History was made at City of Derry Rugby Club last night when the Judges Road appointed the first lady president in Ulster rugby.
Susan Spence, the current senior vice-president of the club, was elected president for the upcoming 2014-2015 season at the club’s annual general meeting.
She succeeds Les Allen who was appointed club president in May last year.
