A 32-year-old man was injured when he was beaten by two armed men in the bedroom of his home in the Galliagh area of Derry in the early hours of this morning.
The incident occurred at a house in Moss Park at approximately 4.00am when two masked men, believed to have been armed with a handgun and a knife, confronted the man in a bedroom of the house demanding money.
The victim sustained minor injuries to his nose and arm after being struck a number of times.
The robbers made off with a sum of cash.
A PSNI spokesperson said police were keen to hear from witnesses or anyone with any information that could assist the investigation.
