Police in Derry are appealing for information about an assault in the city in which a man sustained a serious facial injury.
The man reported to police he was walking up William Street towards the Little Diamond when he was approached by a man who punched him once in the mouth.
The victim was then knocked to the ground and the suspect ran off towards Rossville Street.
The victim required seven stitches to a mouth wound.
The incident occurred at around 6.30pm on Thursday last, 5 June.
The assailant was wearing a dark blue T-shirt and police are keen to hear from anyone who can identify him.
A PSNI spokesperson said Information could be given on the police non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, it can be provided to the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
