Jon Paul McGovern has left Derry City, 97 days after joining the club.
The 33-year-old Glaswegian, former Candystripes boss Roddy Collins 10th and final signing in March, made 10 appearances for the Brandywell club.
He is the latest player to be released by Collins’ successor, Peter Hutton, following in the footsteps of Mark Stewart, Enda Curran and Roddy Collins Junior.
A statement released by Derry City last night said: “We would like to thank Jon-Paul for his time at the club and all the best in his future career.”
