Deputy First Minister has said he will continue to work for peace and reconciliation despite an attack on his ministerial car outside his Bogside home last night.
It is understood a window of the vehicle was smashed.
Mr McGuinness condemned those behind the attack.
He said: “These type of attacks are pointless. I won’t be deflected from carrying out my responsibilities and my work to build peace and reconciliation.”
