Derry runner Scott Rankin continued his impressive form by winning the 13th annual Lifford AC 5k road race.
The Foyle Valley AC athlete performed well to lead the men’s ield home in a speedy 15.06 ahead of runner-up, Enniskillen Running Club’s Conan McCaughey, who crossed the finish line in 15.22.
Pauric McKinney, of Inishowen AC, took third place in 15.34.
Foyle Valley’s Chris McGuinness, Stephen Connor and Matt McLaughlin finished in the top ten as did City of Derry Spartan Michael Murphy.
City of Derry AC’s Jackie McGinley broke the tape in 19.20 to win the ladies’ race ahead of club mate Angeline McShane who took second place in 20.10 just two seconds in front of third-placed Lisa Dalton of the 24/7 Triathlon Club).
