ULSTER SHC: DERRY SHOULD PROVE TO GOOD FOR ARMAGH

hurlingDerry travel to the Athletic Grounds this afternoon for an Ulster Senior Hurling quarter-final clash against Armagh (throw-in 3.00pm).

The Oak Leaders will be favourites to progress to the semi-final against an Armagh side that suffered relegation in the recent Christy Ring Cup.

The winners will face either Down or Donegal who clash earlier at 12.00 noon in Clones, a game that is a curtain-raiser to the Ulster Senior Football quarter-final clash between Monaghan and Tyrone.

Derry: Darrell McDermott; Paul Cleary, Conor Quinn, Eugene McGuckin; Ruairi McCloskey, Liam Hinphey, Cathal McQullian; Kevin Hinphey, Malachy O’Hagan; Brendan Rogers, Ruairi Convery (captain), Aaron Kelly; Shane Farren, Paddy McCloskey, Oisin McCloskey.

Substitutes: Barry Robinson, Anton Rafferty, Niall Farren, Sean McGuigan, Chrissy Convery, Jonathan O’Dwyer, Dermot O’Neill, Tommy McCloy, Tiarnan McCloskey, Michael Warnock, Alan Grant.
