A 41-year-old man is due to appear at Derry Magistrates Court this morning charged in connection with what police described as a “substantial” drugs seizure in the city.
The man was one of three people, including a 17 year old boy, arrested during a police operation in which suspected cocaine and suspected cannabis were seized on Friday last.
The man is charged with possession of a Class A drug, possession of a Class B drug, possession of Class A drug with intent to supply, possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of a Class A drug and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
A second man, aged 39, arrested in connection with the seizure has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The teenager has been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
