Derry City Council’s Community Relations Team along with South Belfast Round Table will host a “Small Worlds” workshop event as part of the ongoing Community Relations Week programme.
The Cafe Culture style workshop will take place from 10.45am to 1.30pm tomorrow in Room 9B at the Ráth Mór Centre on Bligh’s Lane.
As this is a free cross-community event, advance booking is essential.
Mayor Cllr Brenda Stevenson said the workshop was a “great opportunity” to learn about a host of different culture through the voluntary speakers.
She said: “The workshops introduce a taste of the diversity that exists in NI and provide safe spaces in which participants can meaningfully begin to engage with those from different backgrounds and other parts of the world.
“For many participants, these are experiences that result in opening up a fresh perspective. The conversations take place in a safe and semi-structured setting that is carefully managed by a facilitator.”
The event is open to all and provides an opportunity for participants to chat with people from different nationalities and backgrounds.
There are 30 free places. To book your free place contact Laura Hamilton telephone 07736213164 – light lunch included.
