Derry City have been allocated a maximum of only 200 tickets for their Europa League away tie with Aberystwyth Town.
City will host the Welsh Premier League side in Brandywell on 3 July before travelling to the university town for the the away leg a week later, 10 July.
Town, who finished seventh in the Welsh Premier League last season, play at Park Avenue which can accommodate 5,000 spectators, 1,000 of which are seated.
A Derry City spokesperson said the club was “working hard” to secure more tickets for the away fixture but there would be an “absolute maximum” of 200 tickets.
As a result, due to with demand outstripping the number of tickets available, the club is considering running a ballot with priority being given to season ticket holders.
A club spokesperson said: “The club will consider how to prioritise requests from season tickets holders etc for this tickets.
“However there are significant more season ticket holder than there are available tickets and therefore the club may have to consider a ballot for tickets for the game.”
The spokesperson side “at the moment.” the club was not planning on running any club travel arrangement but “this may change over the coming days.”
