Colmcille seniors were again unlucky to lose out by a goal to Magherafelt at the weekend.
Colmcille scored the goal in the last minute which which would have given them a draw, however, the referee ruled that he had blown up for a foul and awarded the city boys a penalty which they unfortunately missed.
The seniors play Glack away this weekend. Further details from seniors coach, Brian Duffy.
On a lighter note, history was almost made when an effort to record the first score ever at the new Colmcille Park went horribly wrong.
In complete kit, coach Brian Duffy turned out on the new club pitch.
Showing all the style and panache which made him a legend, Brian soloed upfield before lining up his point and kicking.
However, the ball went to the right and wide and history still remains to be made.
Brian’s effort has been caught on camera and can be viewed, with commentary, on Gerry O’Donnell’s Facebook page.
