The completion of a £130,000 public realm scheme at the Clooney Terrace in the Waterside area of Derry has been welcomed by Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland.
The scheme included upgrades to paving and street lighting, carriageway resurfacing and the realignment of paving to accommodate the provision of additional parking bays.
Mr. McCausland said the recently completed scheme would “greatly benefit” both shoppers and businesses.
He added: “The additional parking will ease congestion while allowing easy access to the various shops and food outlets.”
Minister McCausland added the scheme was further evidence of his department’s “ongoing commitment” to Derry and would compliment the recent upgrades on Spencer Road, Duke Street, Distillery Brae and the Triangle.
