Police in Derry are investigating an incident in which a woman on a mobility scooter was struck by a reversing car.
Shortly after 1.00pm on Thursday, 5 June last, the woman was stationary on her scooter in the car park of the B&M store on Strand Road when a silver Volkswagen Passat reversed into her.
Although the woman was not hurt, the scooter was tipped over and badly damaged.
The driver of the car got out and spoke briefly to the woman, but then drove off without providing her details.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone who was in the area and saw what happened to call police at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency number, quoting the reference number 547 05/06/14.
