Pupils from a Derry school are celebrating after picking up a number of awards in a prestigious science competition.
Students from St Mary’s College won a string of awards again at the Young Innovators Competition in Belfast.
Teacher Ann Blanking and her STEM club were delighted with the successes, which included the school winning the Excite Exhibition and Display Award for Creativity and the Best Secondary STEM Club accolade.
Individual award winners included:
CREST Bronze Science Award runners-up: Shannon Knox and Caoishe Mc Laughlin;
CREST Silver Science Award Winner: Lavina Blanking;
Royal Society of Chemistry Award: Kayleigh Doherty and Danielle Hasson
Northern Ireland Young Scientist Award to Attend the Big Bang fair 2015: 1, Kaylan Barrowman and Aoife Bolster; 2, Aoife Nash.
