Derry City return to action after the “mid season break” to take on league leaders in a SSE Airtricity Premier Division clash at Brandywell tonight (kick off 7.45pm).
City will be without the services of Danny Ventre, who misses the game through suspension.
David Elebert is also a doubt with a calf injury and will undergo a late fitness tes.
Stephen Kenny’s side sit three points above Cork City at the top of the league and a clean sheet tonight would mean a run of four consecutive shut outs for the first time since the 2011 season.
Both sides will be looking for confidence-boosting performances ahead of their respective Europa League ties on Thursday next when Derry host Welsh Premiership side Abersytwyth Town FC while Dundalk will travel to Esch-sur-Alzette in south-west Luxembourg to take on Jeunesse Esc.
Representatives from the Welsh and Luxembourg clubs are expected to attend tonight’s game.
