Former Coleraine winger Stephen Dooley has signed for Derry City.
Candstripes boss Peter Hutton confirmed the 22-year-old, from Portstewart, had signed on the dotted line for the Brandywell club following last night’s 2-2 draw with SSE Premier Division leaders Dundalk.
While home during the festive break, Dooley made a dramatic impact in the two games he played for Coleraine over the festive break , helping the Bannsiders to their first league win in nine starts when beating Ards – and then grabbing a deserved draw in Saturday’s thrilling Irish Cup tie against Cliftonville.
His decision to join Derry City has delighted Hutton as it is believed a number of clubs were after his signature.
