Dermot Logue (5), a former member of Prehen now playing out of Portsalon, made a worthwhile return to his old club in the Heywood and Robinson (Handmade Kitchens) sponsored Open at City of Derry with an outstanding 44 points (68 gross) that left the whole field floundering in his wake.
A flawless three under on the front nine was followed by a level par second nine to give Dermot the round of his life.
No less than five players were tied on 40 points and the count back went in favour of Jordan Greer (23), Jordan Dunn (10) and Ron Grieve (16) for second, third and fourth in that order respectively.
Past Captains/Presidents Prize
Maurice Quigg (20) took first place in this annual competition with 27 points over 13 holes and was followed home by the club secretary Andy Meenagh (14) on 25 points
