City of Derry Sparta athlete Alan Bogle has been called up for the Northern Ireland team to compete in the Snowdon International Mountain Race taking place in Wales next month.
The Derry runner is one four runners named in the men’s team by the Northern Ireland Mountain Racing Association (NIMRA) for the event which will take place on 19 July.
His call-up follows a number of impressive performances this year in which he recorded victories in Cookstown, Annalong and Newcastle in three of his four starts in March and May.
The other three members of the NI team are Seamus Lynch (Newcastle AC), Ian Bailey (Newcastle AC) and Gavin Mulholland (Calder Valley).
The ladies team isDiane Wilson (Dromore AC), Catherine O’Connor (East Down AC) and Hazel McLaughlin (Lagan Valley AC).
