Sinn Féin Cllr Elisha McCallion has welcomed the news that funding has been secured for community festival at Moss Park in the Galliagh area of Derry on 15 August next.
Cllr McCallion said: “The event last year saw many families attend, we had bouncy castles, face painters and puppet shows for children. Live performances from traditional Irish musicians and leading Irish band Bagatelle also took place.
“So to hear the positive news that funding has been secured for another festival this year on the 15th August will be warmly welcomed.”
She concluded: “I would like to pay tribute to everyone involved in making this happen.”
