Five people were arrested during a police crackdown on drink driving in the North West over the weekend.
Three motorists were detained for alleged drink-driving offences in the Strabane while the other two were arrested in Limavady.
A 27-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning after police received reports of a car blocking the main road at Magheramason.
He has been charged to appear at Strabane Court next month.
Following a report of a suspected drunken driver at Bradley Way yesterday evening, police spotted a car at Sion Mills and stopped it a short time later.
The 22-year-old driver has been charged to appear at Omagh Court.
A 38-year-old woman was arrested and charged after police followed a car from Strabane town centre to an address off the Urney Road shortly before 3.00am on Saturday.
In Limavady, a 21-year-old man has been charged with driving with excess alcohol following a detection by police at Gorteen Crescent, Limavady, at about 3.00am on Saturday.
He has also been charged with resisting police, taking a car without authority and driving without insurance and is to appear at the local court on 23 July next.
A 22-year-old man has been charged with being drink in charge of a car and is to appear at the same court.
It follows a detection at Main Street, Ballkykelly at about 3.00am yesterday.
