A double bogey, a lost ball and a quadruple eight usually keeps you out of the prizes, but no one told 10 handicapper Eamon Quigley who went on to win the Lee Hogg Flagon at North West Golf Club.
Eamon recovered from the setbacks with birdies at the fifth, eighth, 10th, 13th and 16th to return a great score of 66 nett to take the honours on a three-way countback.
The top three players had 10 birdies between them, Padraig Mac Lochlainn finishing runner-up with 71 gross, nett 66.
Winner of the gross prize with 71 was Jason Spence who came unstuck at the short par three 16th hole with bogey when a par would of got him first place.
In third place playing, off an eight handicap, was Philip Doherty with a nett 67.
Ray Gallagher Jnr picked up the back nine prize with a nett 32.
