Police in Derry are advising householders to ensure their homes are secure after another spate of burglaries in the city.
In the most recent incident, a purse was stolen from a house at Primity Crescent in Newbuildings at around 1.30pm yesterday.
Yesterday morning, householder in the Bishop Street area of the city discoveredmoney had been stolen from her home during the night.
And sometime between 2.00am and 4.00am a Nexus mobile phone was stolen from a house at Foyle Road.
A PSNI spokesperson urged householders to ensure they closed and locked windows and doors when going out and when going to bed at night.
The spokesperson added: “Open doors and windows give burglars open access to homes.”
The spokesperson asked anyone with information on any of the incidents to contact detectives at Strand Road on the 101 non-emergency number.
It can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
