Car owners in Derry have been called on to be “on their guard” after thieves attempted to break into vehicles in the city earlier today.
The call has come from local SDLP MLA Pat Ramsey after teenagers were spotted interfering with cars in the Brandywell area.
Mr Ramsey said such incidents such be reported to police.
Mr Ramsey said: “I have been approached by a resident in the Brandywell area regarding an incident earlier this morning around 6.30 involving three young people about 18 years of age trying to break into cars.
“People should be on their guard and report these matters to the police.”
