Communities along the Derry/Tyrone-Donegal border are being warned to be on the look-out for thieves operating in the area.
Specifically, residents in St Johnston, Carrigans, Lifford, Raphoe, Newton, Manor and Killea are being asked be mindful of a 1986 registered Astra – carrying up to four people – cruising the area.
They are suspected of carrying out four robberies in the past 10 days.
The incident follows a spate of break-ins in Aghyaran and Castlefin.
Local Sinn Féin Cllr Kieran McGuire urged people throughout the border area to be extremely vigilant.
He added: “With the summer holidays now upon us and with so many people away it is important for neighbour to look out for neighbour.
“Authorities on both sides of the border must have a good idea of the identities of those involved of this form of crime along the border area and must ensure that additional resources are made available.”
