Winner: Foyle Valley’s Adrian McGowan.
Derry runners dominated the St Johnston 5K, taking all three podium places in the event hosted by Lifford Athletic Club in the Donegal village last night.
Foyle Valley’s Adrian McGowan led the way in 15.52 followed by City of Derry’s Gary Slevin (16.02) in second and Foyle Valley’s Stephen Connor (16.14) in third.
Zachary McGowan, of Derry City Track Club, just missed out on a top 10 finish, coming in 11th in 18,07.
In the women’s race, City of Derry Spartan Jackie McGinley took second place in 19.42 behind the winner, Lifford AC’s Claire McGuigan, who led the way in 19.09.
