The case of a man accused of allowing a cow to wander on a road was adjourned at Derry Magistrates Court this morning.
John Francis Feeney (31), of Cherry Drive, Eglinton, is charged that at Tamnaherin Road on 20 October last year, being the keeper of an animal, namely a cow, he allowed it to wander or lie on or at the side of the road contrary to Article 93(2) of the Roads (Northern Ireland) Order 1993.
Defence solicitor Seamus Quifwy told the court Feeney would be denying the charge and the case would be moving towards a contest, to which Magistrate Eamon King queried “moo-ved or moved?”
The case as adjourned to next month.
