Three men arrested by police following a disturbance in the Creggan area of Derry in the early hours of yesterday morning in which a man was seriously injured, have been released from police custody pending further enquiries.
Two men, aged 36, were arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon, while a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, taking a car without consent and other motoring offences.
They were released from Strand Road police station last night.
A fourth man, aged 23, who was detained on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, was earlier released while receiving treatment in hospital for injuries allegedly sustained during the incident.
The arrests followed an incident after a car crashed into a house and other vehicles at Ballymagown Avenue.
