Derry athlete Keith Shiels completed his return from long-term injury with an outstanding performance to win last night’s Rathmullan 5K.
The Foyle Valley athlete, who finished second in the Omagh 10K, went one better last night to post a time of 15 minutes 15 seconds, only a second outside the course record.
The Creggan man led from the start and pulled away from the rest of the field on the first finish ahead of team mates Adrian McGowan (30.30) and Chris McGuinness (30.34).
