Derry 0-09 Antrim 0-17
Derry paid the price for not taking the chances that came their way when they put up a brave fight in losing the Ulster Minor Hurling Championship to Antrim at Owenbeg in Dungiven this afternoon.
Level at half-time on a scoreline of 0-06 each, Derry missed two goal opportunites in early in the second period that would have put them in a strong position to go on and win the game.
While Kevin Lynchs Ciaran Steele did put over a point, Antrim took advantage of the opportunities that came their way at the other end to open up a four point lead by the 48th minute which they extended to eight at the final whistle.
