A man has been arrested by police after a woman sustained serious head injuries in Limavady.
The man (22) was detained in connection with the incident which occurred at around 10.30pm on Thursday at house in the Glenmore Gardens area of the town.
The woman (27) was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries which police said were serious.
A PSNI spokesperson asked anyone with information about the incident to contact police by telephoning the non-emergency 101 number.
