Derry triathlete Aileen Reid goes for gold this morning at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
Reid (32), a member of the North West Triathlon Club, is one of six competitors from Derry taking part in the Games, which officially opened at Celtic Park last night.
A competitor at the 2012 London Olympics, she finished the 2013 season ranked eighth in the world, with a silver medal at the ITU World Triathlon Series Grand Final in London.
She has had two other world triathlon series podiums with a silver medal in Madrid in June 2012 and Hamburg in July 2010.
Her event begins at 11.00am and can be viewed on BBC One.
The other Derry competitors taking part in the Games are boxers Conor Coyle and Sean McGlinchey, sprinter Jason Smyth, cycling time triallist Marcus Christie and wrestler Hugh McCloskey.
